Diving
Asia is teeming with scuba diving havens, and many of Asia's top destinations are consistently ranked among the worlds best scuba diving sites (view list of the worlds top dive sites). Certainly in terms of marine biodiversity Southeast Asia is certainly the number one destination in the world (see www.coraltrianglecenter.org). As a result, scuba diving opportunities in Asia are prolific, and scuba diving service providers throughout Asia are equally abundant.
Due to geography and infrastructure, many of the top dive destinations are only accessible by liveaboard dive vessels. This is probably a good thing. Firstly it keeps the numbers of other divers in the water to a bare minimum, and secondly liveaboard diving gives you the opportunity to get underwater more often than on any other kind of diving holiday.
